As part of the kick off project between the ARC Research Hub for Digital Enhanced Living and Uniting AgeWell, a community workshop was held in July 2018 to discover salient opportunities for collaborative research and development.
Our first endeavour is to ascertain whether digital technology has a place and usefulness for those living at home with the aim of improving the support for emotional and mental well-being.
Key researchers of the Hub then visited a couple of the Uniting AgeWell’s residential aged care facilities and accompanied Uniting AgeWell’s staff on a home visit to review the facilities and understand the infrastructure parameters that currently exists.
2019 will be a busy year for this collaborative partnership as the R&D activities gets underway.
